Vintage Ventura Martin Lawsuit Acoustic Made in Japan
LOOKING TO TRADE, not $0. 1974 Ventura V-696. Highly regarded, "lawsuit-era" Japanese dreadnought body acoustic. These were imported by C. Bruno & Sons and built during the “golden age” of Japanese OEM manufacturing. Designed as an aesthetic and structural tribute to the Martin D-35 dreadnought. Solid spruce top with a three-piece rosewood (jacaranda?) back and rosewood sides. Built at the legendary Matsumoku factory in Japan, known for producing incredibly stable, resonant instruments with excellent neck geometry and structural integrity. The V-696 was their top line model, with lovely inlays and binding. Plays and sounds great, especially given its 52 year age, though some nicks and marks. Plenty of fret life too. Mostly interested in pedals, especially Pod Go, HX Effects, Boss GX or GT, or other multi fx. Or surprise me. I’ll also take $ and price well below Reverb or other similar guitars online.
