2013 Fender American Vintage ’52 Telecaster–Butterscotch Blonde–OHSC
Keith Richards. Bruce Springsteen. Mike Campbell. Some of rock’s most recognizable guitar sounds have come from the humble Telecaster, and there’s something about a Butterscotch Blonde ’52 that takes you right back to where it all began. Up for sale or trade is my 2013 Fender American Vintage ’52 Telecaster, built in November 2013 and part of Fender’s celebrated 2012–2017 American Vintage series. This beautiful USA-made Tele features an ash body in classic Butterscotch Blonde Flash Coat lacquer, black Bakelite pickguard, and a stunning, beautifully figured one-piece maple neck and headstock—some of the nicest maple I’ve seen on any Fender I’ve owned. Substantial vintage U-shaped neck, 7.25” radius, and original American Vintage ’52 pickups. This is a Tele’s Tele, beautiful not despite but because of its honest cosmetic wear. I’ve owned it for years, playing it live and recording with it throughout. Excellent playing condition, all original pickups, electronics, and hardware. There are small finish chips and dings around the body edges, plus light scratches and impressions consistent with Fender's thin Flash Coat lacquer. The “Telecaster” lettering on the headstock is also partially worn and smudged, I believe from the first owner’s clip-on tuner. All clearly photographed. Includes original Fender tweed hardshell case and complete original case candy: serialized and initialed inspection tag, leather strap, ashtray bridge cover, case keys, manuals, paperwork, and other original accessories. I’m only considering moving this one along because I have several Telecasters and enjoy trying different guitars. These 2012–2017 American Vintage Fenders are among my favorites. Happy to answer questions or provide additional photos, audio, or video. $1,900 OBO — open to interesting trades. Reasonable cash offers considered.
