1977 Gibson Les Paul Pro Deluxe

Up for sale is my 1977 Gibson Les Paul Pro Deluxe. This model is a perfect fusion of a Les Paul Standard with some custom appointments, such as an ebony fretboard! This guitar is from 1977, which means it has been played and enjoyed for nearly 50 years. The wear and tear on this example is 100% genuine and tells the story of a well-loved guitar. In terms of playability, it is phenomenal. The action is nice and low with no buzzing, the neck is straight, and the truss rod has plenty of life left in it. All controls and the finish are original, with no major repairs to speak of. There has never been a headstock break or anything of that nature. Because the guitar is nearly 50 years old, it has seen some evidence of TLC over the years. For example, the truss rod cover has been moved slightly due to some missing wood where the original screw would go, so part of the original screw hole is still visible. The bridge pickup has a small wooden block underneath it to help with raising and lowering its height. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe the switch tip and pickguard may have been replaced. The knobs are original. I replaced the pickups with a pair of Bare Knuckles, but I will, of course, include the originals! They work great, so you can simply swap them back in and get to rocking. I also took blacklight photos for everyone’s peace of mind to help show that there have been no breaks or major repairs. The serial number is still present, as it is stamped into the wood in typical Gibson fashion, but it is very difficult to read. You can make it out under the right lighting and viewing angles. You can see some finish checking around the volute area, but the wood is completely intact. The neck has never been broken or repaired. Also included is the original 1970s Gibson Chainsaw case! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or would like to see additional photos. I’m happy to provide them. I’m primarily looking for a cash sale, but I would consider a trade for a very nice example of a Gibson ES-335 or potentially a Fender Custom Shop Jazzmaster. Thanks for looking!
