Amazing player grade 1966 USA made Silvertone 1488! This baby not only looks amazing, but it is fully functional and plays great! Og switches, pots, knobs, and tuners will be included with the sale. I don’t have all 4 knobs only two. Original rocker switches were dead and were replaced with jaguar style switches. All three Silver foil pickups work and sound great. Pics under the hood show the original wiring harness and the pots on the pickguard. the pots have been replaced with full sized pots. The new pots are all 500k with .022 micro fares orange drop capacitors. The original caps are still attached to og pots and will be included with the sale. The og caps are all different values and replacing cap values and pots offer tons. Of wiring options for more tonal variations. Ground switch from the stop tailpiece was also added. Nice comfy chunky neck. Many of this era silvertones and harmony guitars aren’t playable due to neck issues, not this beauty! Plays great up and down the neck. Truss rod fully functional. Guitar has been setup and cleaned. Board oiled. Setup with 10s. I didn’t try my best to intonate but due to the floating bridge it will most likely need adjustment. Wear and Tear: There are tape marks where previous owners used duct tape. I didn’t try to remove the duct tape mars because I didnt want to damage the paint more, and I think it looks cool. It’s definitely authentic wear!! The frets show some wear but are original and can be played on the whole neck. paint chips and dings here and there but nothing that affects playability. The Nitro paint looks incredible! Natural checking in spots. On the lower horn shows chipping jags in the paint only with no signs of structural damage. Buckle rash consistent with normal playing. This is all natural wear tear people spend Money to replicate, but can’t quite duplicate. Cash or Trade for jazzmaster.
