TTSH Arp 2600 Analog Synthesizer Clone
This is a TTSH V1 that I purchased from the previous owner in 2023. Sounds great, used it consistently for 3 years and in overall in good shape, outside of two issues: * There appears to be some noise bleed between the noise generator and the speakers: Sliding the noise type slider upwards causes some noise to become apparent in the speakers, moreso the left speaker than the right, noticeable around the time the slider hits pink, even if the speakers are turned all the way down (turning the noise level slider from min to max slightly increases speaker noise during this state). Based on my research this is a known issue of v1 - v3 TTSH builds, and may be fixable by shielding capacitors near the noise generator. Note that this noise is different from the general speaker noise one gets when the speaker sliders are turned to max level, which is a normal occurrence in both the original 2600 and the TTSH. * As you can see from the circuit board pictures, the original builder did a bit of an awkward job on it with some uncleaned flux and rough solder joints. Outside of the aforementioned noise bleed issue I haven't encountered any other problems in my three years of use. Due to the above two issues I've reduced the price to $1000 - Since The Human Comparator (the company that makes TTSH kits) is now out of business, these usually go for $2800-$3000 these days, which is the current range for these on Reverb as of this posting, so this is a great opportunity to grab one of these for cheap. I will also include a Doepfer A-183-3 amplifier module for boosting gates to 10v if you intend to control it from a eurorack sequencer. Finally, I'll also throw in a TTSH V4 waveshaper mod kit that I purchased form Synthcube in 2023 - no idea if it can be used with the V1 but figured someone DIY-handier than myself could take a look. Feel free to make offers or trade ideas. Can meet up around the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. Thanks for reading!
